2023 US Open Purse Sets Record at $20 Million

The United States Golf Association (USGA) announced on Saturday a record-breaking $20 million purse for this week's US Open at The Los Angeles Country Club.
The total prize money for the 2023 US Open has surpassed $65 million, eclipsing the previous record of $60 million set in 2022.
This marks the first time the US Open prize money has exceeded $65 million.
The announcement was made by USGA president Mike Whan on Wednesday, who stated that the increased purse reflects the tournament's growing popularity and prestige.
